June 20th was our 6th wedding anniversary. My how the years have just gone by so fast!! We woke up early to our wonderful children who are still to young to know the meaning behind this wonderful day so they were more concerned with who was getting out of bed to get them breakfast!! We took it very easy laying around all four of us together watching the TV in mommy and daddy's bed and eating together!! It was a wonderful morning. The girls had a birthday party to go to and Matt had "things to get done" so we parted ways shortly after lunch with plans later that day for dinner and maybe even a movie!! The party was great the kids went swimming and had cake and hot dogs and some wonderful fun with some of their best friends. After the party I handed them off to my best friend and headed home to throw some makeup on and head to dinner with my hubby!! Little did I know what was waiting for me at home!! As I opened the front door to our house I went straight for the kitchen phone where I try and keep my purse and keys and to my surprise I found two very nice new outfits set out for me. They were not dressy outfits but nice comfy everyday outfits which I am needing now that Izzy is growing very fast!! Also a card which I opened and read it was beautiful!! About the time I was done reading it my wonderful husband came down the stairs all cleaned up and looking good in a head to toe new outfit for himself!! He was all ready to hit the road and I am thinking "Hello.. spent all day outside with kids at a birthday party" I need to change!! He said no you don't come on we are leaving!! So I get in the car and he takes me to the mall where we go to the one and only store to shop at when you are eight months prego Motherhood!!! LOL So he says well get something so I start looking around and find a really nice pair of grey paints and a wonderful purple shirt to match! I went into the dressing room to try them on and I loved it I opened the door and said I really like it what do you think? He reached over took the tags off handed them to the woman working there and said she is going to wear this out of the store!!! I was floored!! So then we headed to Dillard's to get a new pair of shoes!! I was trying them on when I got a text message from my friend saying Haleigh had gotten sick, she said we didn't have to come get her, but we wouldn't have had a good time not knowing if she was ok. So we changed our plans, got our kids home and in bed ordered out for dinner and curled up on the couch and watched a movie from blockbuster!! A little ways into our movie after the kids had fallen asleep and our dinner was gone Matt slipped a new set of rings on my finger, I was blown away. It has been over two years since I have had my wedding rings and even know they were not the ones I lost these new rings hold the same promise that the fist set did. I am so happy to be married to such a wonderful Man and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!
So last weekend we had Haleighs sixth birthday party it is hard to think of her as a six year old but that is what she is now!!! We were going to have the party at the park with a face painting and fun but the weather had other plans. Only 15 min before her party was to start the sky opened up to a BIG storm!!! Luckly our wonderful church was once again able to save us and we quickly called all the guests and moved it into the church!! She was so happy when all of her friends started showing up for her party we were running around tring to find things for the kids to do... Limbo, musical chairs, anything to keep them happy till it was their turn to get their face painted!! It was a wonderful day even with the rain which let up just in time to do the pinata and run a little outside. I can't belive that my little girl is six years old where did the last six years go? She has brought us so many smiles and laughs these past six years I truley don't know what my life would be with out her, and I am thankful everyday that the Lord gave her to me.
